Empowering local communities  through visual storytelling

We train our partners on strategies to strengthen meaningful community engagement through the Photovoices approach—a participatory photography and storytelling methodology that enables communities to document their experiences, express their perspectives, and amplify their voices.

Our training combines the principles of Photovoices International—honoring voices, safe and ethical practices, informed consent, and transformative facilitation—with participatory photography principles. Through hands-on learning and reflection, partners develop the skills and approaches needed to facilitate inclusive, respectful, and meaningful engagement with the communities they work with.
