
The Kingdom of Boti is located on West Timor in Eastern Indonesia and is home to more than 400 people. With the death of beloved King Nune Benu in 2005, the village is undergoing a crucial time of transition as the king's son, Prince Nune Benu assumes the throne and attempts to preserve the traditional culture that has existed here for centuries against the powerful forces of modernization. Even with these challenges, the people of Boti have proudly maintained their traditions just as their ancestors have done for centuries before.
